Liquidlogic’s first recreational kayak, launched at the company’s inception, was the Saluda—an innovative design that stood out from the more conventional models of its time.

Named after the Saluda River, which flows from the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains through the Carolina foothills, the original Saluda was inspired by the river’s serene and adventurous character. This namesake kayak, introduced two decades ago, marked a shift toward enhanced comfort, performance, and stability in recreational kayaking.

In 2023, Liquidlogic reintroduced this legacy with a modernized version: the Saluda 14.5. This 14.5-foot sit-inside recreational kayak is designed to be both approachable for beginners and engaging for seasoned paddlers. On the water, users will immediately notice its impressive stability, tracking, and comfort.

The Saluda 14.5 is equipped with an all-day comfort frame seat, handcrafted in Fletcher, North Carolina. In front of the seat is the Gearstash console, offering a practical space for personal items like phones or keys, recessed storage areas, and a gear track for mounting accessories such as a GPS or fishing rod holder. Behind the seat, integrated storage areas within the base accommodate water bottles and additional gear. The stern features a dual-opening hatch with ample storage space beneath, providing easy access and convenience for longer outings.
