The Rockstar V started with a goal to make the best boat for every wave and hole on the planet. Jackson has combined the best qualities of all their older playboats into a sweet, new shape that’s a game-changer in this category. The Rockstar V makes it easier to have more fun in all kinds of play environments: waves, holes, flatwater, and downriver are all easier and giggle-inducing. What makes the Rockstar V work so well? The hull takes inspiration from boats like the 2014 Rockstar and the legendary 2010 All Star for a higher-floating, easy to paddle feel. The new double-railed drop chine system gives us the highest planing performance of any boat yet–on big waves and small, this boat is FAST, LOOSE, and hops effortlessly into the air. The bow is among the sliciest we’ve ever made for easy control in holes and flatwater. They kept the knees nice and high for lots of leg-room and extra big-air volume. The volume distribution bow to stern is better balanced than all our former playboats.

But you won’t need to understand all the details of why it works when you try it. You’ll just know that you’re having more fun than you’ve ever had before. You’ll be fighting a perma-grin all day. - A super slicey bow with a very comfortable foot box makes for effortless tricks on the bow: from flatwater cartwheels, to McNasties and loops, this is one of the easiest bows to through around Jackons ever made.
- High knee position gives tons of leg room and a comfortable knee pocket. It also provides LOTS of volume for huge air on loops and retentiveness while surfing. They also tweaked their volume ratio to be more balanced bow-to-stern than any previous RockStar.
- The planing hull is the best they’ve ever made on a wave. Jackon’s new double-railed drop chine system gives higher planing performance than ever before for a fast, crisp, slick surf that is just incredible. The hull is plenty wide through the middle with narrowing ends for easy take-offs and a high-floating feel.
- The RockStar V comes with the 2022 outfitting package including the new Bees Knees Thigh Hook System, fiberglass-reinforced plastic seat track, the Sure Lock Backband system, a reshaped foam foot block, our adjustable hip pads, and more!
